Giving Back to the Community
The Konditor Meister Scholarship was a one-time $1,000 award in 2024 for an incoming 8th-grade student at Covenant Christian Academy in Peabody, MA. Named in memory of Tyler Luiz Simoes, who died from the RAC2 disease, the scholarship was sponsored by Konditor Meister, a bakery in Braintree, MA. It recognized students with excellent grades (3.2+ GPA) and outstanding social behavior, including kindness, leadership, empathy, and teamwork. The scholarship was funded through the sale of “Tyler’s Box” pastries and other fundraisers, aiming to help a student with tuition while keeping Tyler’s inspiring legacy alive.
